Hey all, thought I'd pop in and let everyone know I still peek in now and again. Even though I went HD Sportster (two of them now) I still got my 97 Savage. She's still runnin and the odometer just ticked over to 84,000 miles. No rebuild, original clutch plates, second battery, second belt. I've had all the usual problems over the years (oil leak, buzzy speedo, fuel delivery etc) but nothing that couldn't be worked out. My Savage got me to work and back for three years as my only transportation. Too many miles on her to sell so I'll probably keep her around and one day make a cool chopper like on Easy Rider or something. I used to post a lot but I kinda moved on. If your looking for something fun to ride (not to impress, easy to maintain and cheap to operate as transportation, this bike is fits right in. If you care about what others think about you then pull more cash out of your wallet and get something bigger. Ride safe everyone.
